T-Rex warranty conditions

T-Rex offers a 2-year warranty on all our products. In the unlikely event of a malfunction, please contact our technical support at service@t-rex-effects.com before sending us the product for repair. When the product has been sent to us at sender’s cost, we will repair or replace your product and send it back to you - free of charge and usually within 3 weeks. The product needs to be accompanied by a copy of your sales receipt, serial number, return address, phone number, e-mail address and a brief explanation of the problem. Please note that we cannot replace a product until we have received it here in Denmark.

• Please note that the T-Rex repair department does not perform modifications or upgrades.

Warranty is lost if:

• The product is more than 2 year old from purchase date

• The product has been modified in any way

• Anyone besides authorized T-Rex service centers has repaired or tried to repair the product

• You do not have a receipt

• You do not have the serial number of the product

• You have given the pedal wrong power and the pedal has been burned.
  

Warranty is not lost if:

• You do not lose the warranty if you have opened the product to have a look at the inside.
  We can see if a product has been opened, which is ok. But you are not allowed to modify
  or repair the pedal if you want it to be covered by warranty.

EU Regulations, environment protection

T-Rex accepts and follows the regulations and directives issued by the EU. Actually we find these environment protecting regulations very good, and we are happy to follow them.

On the back of each of our products, you will see stickers showing that we follow the EU rules.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

The European parliament and the Council of the European Union have issued the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive. The purpose of the Directive is the prevention of waste of electrical and electronic equipment and to promote the reuse and recycling and other forms of recovery of such waste. As such the directive concerns producers, distributors and consumers.

The WEEE directive requires that both manufacturers and end-consumers dispose of electrical and electronic equipment and parts in an environmentally safe manner and that equipment and waste are reused or recovered for their materials or energy.

Electrical and electronic equipment and parts must not be disposed of with normal household wastage, all electrical and electronic equipment and parts must be collected and disposed of separately. Products and equipment which must be collected for reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery are marked with the pictogram shown below.

When disposing of electrical and electronic equipment by use of the collection systems available in your country, you protect the environment, human health and contribute to the prudent and rational use of natural resources. Collecting electrical and electronic equipment and waste prevents the potential contamination of nature with the hazardous substances which may be present in electrical and electronic products and equipment.

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, is originated in the European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. The restricted materials are hazardous to the environment and pollute landfills, and are dangerous in terms of occupational exposure during manufacturing and recycling. The substances banned under RoHS are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

The RoHS regulation is specific to the sale of electronic equipment within the EU. Everyone along the supply chain is responsible for ensuring RoHS compliance, from fabrication to delivery. However, other countries are exploring similar regulations, and it's only a matter of time before such changes must be implemented on a global scale.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemical substances (REACH)

All products are compliant with the European Union Directive EC1907/206 for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of chemicals (REACh), and contains none or less than 0.1% of the chemicals listed as hazardous chemicals in the REACh regulation.

The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. At the same time, innovative capability and competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry should be enhanced. The benefits of the REACH system will come gradually, as more and more substances are phased into REACH.
